Up to date compatibility notes:

  • Raspberry Pi 5 is now fully supported! (Pi image 12 required)

  • EDSDK is now activated by default on Raspberry Pi (Canon cameras). We’re getting better sync timing on our end on two systems, but please test on your own to make sure it behaves correctly on your equipment.

  • Starting from XangleCS v24.12.01, Pi image version 10 or more is required

  • Android v14+ crashes at trigger time following a recent update from the Android team. The workaround on Windows is to click on the toggle-video button (on the phone itself). We don’t have any workaround on Raspberry Pi at the moment. Android version 13 still works correctly.

  • Manual calibration (bullet-time) + vertical orientation doesn’t work. Please use automatic calibration.

  • Video settings are not available on some older Canon models (SL1…)

  • Video mode doesn’t support chromakey (but you can use the Burst mode to achieve motion + greenscreen when using a single camera)

  • Live view is broken on Arducam/picam (image 12)

  • Do not run Xangle from your Desktop or Documents folders. These locations are automatically synced by OneDrive, which can lock essential files and cause the app to crash or display a blank screen. To ensure stability, we strongly recommend moving the Xangle folder to C:\apps or another non-synced directory on your hard drive.
