4D gaussian splat

What happens when volumetric capture includes movement? This showcase explores 4D Gaussian splatting through studio experiments and projects shared by the Xangle Camera Server community. The aim is to capture a performance from multiple viewpoints and explore how that moment changes over time, rather than limiting the result to one fixed camera angle.

The creative possibilities include dance, gestures, facial expressions and short actions presented with a virtual camera move. The technical challenge is just as important: the views must describe a coherent subject, and successive moments must remain consistent enough for the chosen reconstruction method.

Watch the examples below for different approaches to multi-camera capture and presentation. They show individual projects and experiments, not a universal quality benchmark or a single prescribed camera setup.
